And We're Off!!!
Here we go!!!!
Ok guys we leave for Florida this next week! It is going to be a crazy long drive. Prayers would be appreciated! We leave on Sunday to attend Jeremy's grandfather's funeral on Monday, which is about 6 hours south of us. I know he would appreciate your prayers for comfort for his family during this grieving period. It is hard to believe the trials and joys that have occurred since we filed our paperwork for this little girl. Two grandfathers lost in the past two months is quite difficult. We can both be grateful that they are with the Lord, and they also were both a vital part of our marriage.
The plan for our time in Florida is to travel down and stay with family. We will meet our amazing birth mama on the 25th for lunch. We're also excited that her own mother will most likely be coming as well! We would covet your prayers for peace of mind and immeasurable grace. We want to be so sensitive in how we navigate this meal. We will stay through until her doctor's appointment on the 29th! We are so excited to hear our little girl's heart beat and see how things are progressing. As of last we heard she is a little over 2 cm dilated. We've only got 39 days until the "official" due date, but we all know that is a very broad term.
As far as fundraising goes, we are about $10,000 short. I know that this is a lot to ask, but we are confident that we can get that final amount before we meet our little one! God is so capable! We're still awaiting word on a grant, and we're trying to be as creative as we can with fundraising. So many of you have been so generous, and we could not be doing this without you. I love that when we raise our little girl we can attest to our incredible community and their faithfulness in bringing our family together!!
We love you all terrible and cannot wait to share pics of our journey to Florida!

Let's be real.
Ok people, time to be real. Adoption is challenging. I've never experienced something so refining, but so rewarding. I mean seriously, look at this face...
(I love her little hand up by her face! And her nose!!! Such a kissable face.)
We've been so blessed by sweet friends and family, and through your generosity we've raised
$15,810
Guys, that is over half of our funding! How could we have done it without you.
Some updates:As far as grants go, we applied for 3 grants, but have received news that we were not awarded two of them. It must be because we make to much money (hm...that seems odd), but we are still prayerfully waiting on the last (which they said we should hear back from, sometime in June/July). Prayers appreciated, please!

On another note we were blessed by our coworkers with showers, and here is a few pictures from mine. It was such a sweet time of fellowshipping and celebrating our little girl.
